We are looking for an experienced Animation Supervisor to lead our team of 12 animators for The Amazing World of Gumball.
Tasks
- The supervisor will lead a team of 12 animators. Good communication skills are essential as the supervisor will assist in the professional development of the team**.** Excellent knowledge of English is essential.
- The supervisor will work closely with artists and will be required to assign scenes and provide detailed feedback.
- The supervisor should be very experienced in character animation, ideally with an eye for varying styles and timing, and possess the ability to maintain consistency in the look and feel of the show across all the episodes.
- The supervisor will work closely with the directors of the show to ensure that their vision for each scene is executed and that their feedback is addressed.
- The supervisor will need to familiarize themselves with every 2D character of the show and develop the ability to spot model errors in an animator’s scene.
- The supervisor will work closely with the 3D department when planning scenes that involve interaction between 2D characters and 3D objects/characters.
- The supervisor will need to communicate with all other departments in the pipeline (such as Layout and Compositing) in order to ensure a smooth transfer of data throughout the project.
- The supervisor will need to balance the demands of the schedule against the need for consistency in quality. Experience in meeting deadlines on a fast paced TV show is a plus.
Software
We will be animating in Animate CC. Candidates should be very experienced in using this software on a professional level.
Production Schedule
Key Animation production will begin in mid-January 2024. Ideally, the supervisor should join us a few weeks earlier. If you are interested, please send your application as soon as possible.
General Conditions
We are offering a full-time job (Mo-Fr, 8 hrs / day), for a fixed term of approx. 13 months in Ludwigsburg, Germany. For this role, remote work will not be possible.
Our studio has a long tradition of working with international teams, so knowledge of the German language is not required for the job.
